After joining Nikkei McGraw-Hill (currently Nikkei BP), he worked for magazines covering new materials technology and mechanical engineering. In 2004, he was involved in launching Nikkei Automotive Technology, Japan’s first professional magazine for automotive engineers, and became its founding Editor-in-Chief in June 2004. He served in this role for 9 years and 9 months until December 2013.
In March 2014, he left Nikkei BP and established AutoInsight, Inc. in May 2014, a company specializing in editing and producing content related to automotive technology and industry, where he currently serves as President. He is also a Visiting Researcher at Nikkei BP Research Institute’s Future Lab and a member of the selection committee for the Japan Car of the Year award.

He began his career at NEC Corporation, where he was engaged in PC development, and joined Sony Corporation (now Sony Group Corporation) in 2001. As a software project leader and system architect, he worked on the design of VAIO PCs and digital cameras. Later, he served as manager responsible for platform security functions in Android tablets and smartphones. He then oversaw software development for entertainment robots such as aibo and poiq, as well as the aerial drone Airpeak. In parallel, he was in charge of security design, including OTA, for the electric vehicle prototype VISION-S. He has been in his current position since December 2022.

Mr. Yoshiyuki Kawashima has been supporting Japanese automobile OEMs both domestically and internationally at IBM Japan for many years, and has extensive OEM field experience. He is especially good at leading local members at overseas sites. Since 2014, Mr. Kawashima has been involved in "connected cars" and "required specification design," and recently he has been working not only on elemental technology for cars, but also in collaboration with semiconductor and energy-related departments.

Toshiro Muramatsu joined Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. as a new graduate in 1991. Worked at the Central Research Center (currently Nissan Research Center) on automotive radar, multimedia radio interface, EV value creation, digital radio service, connected car research, etc. After working in the Connected Car & Services Division and in Silicon Valley in the US, he took charge of the Connected Car & Services Development Department on onboard communication units and cloud systems development. He has been engaged in the development and operation of cloud systems and Mobile APP, cybersecurity, etc. as General Manager of the Connected Technology Development & Service Operations Department, Connected Car Off-board Development and Operation Department. He has taken current position in April 2025.

He became Editor-in-Chief of the company’s Asia Automotive Research Monthly in 2014, then served as Senior Research Analyst in the Corporate Planning and Research Division in 2016, before assuming his current position in April 2023. His main research areas include technologies and strategies along the CASE axes in the global automotive industry, strategic analysis of key players such as Tesla and GAFA+M, and supply chain research covering eAxles, batteries, and semiconductors.

Since December 2022, he has been a member of the JASPAR Connectivity Working Group.
In April 2025, he served as the leader of the SDV Task Force for the Working Group’s white paper, “A Practical Guide to Connectivity Utilization in SDV Supporting Vehicle Services”, and has been actively delivering messages to the automotive industry.
He is currently working on themes such as vehicle connectivity, SDV, and eSIM utilization, in preparation for the publication of the next white paper.

He joined Increment P Corporation, the predecessor of GeoTechnologies, Inc., in 2003, and has consistently engaged in software development related to maps and geospatial information ever since. His career includes developing map data editing systems for car navigation, leading the development of high-precision map data for autonomous driving, and serving as head of consumer business development. He later established a new Data Science Division dedicated to leveraging data, where he has been actively working on analytics and data development to address various social issues using mobility data and maps.
He holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees from the Faculty of Engineering at Tokyo University of Science.

Tomohiko Ishibashi is the Commercial Director of Parkopedia Japan. Tomohiko is based in Tokyo and represents Parkopedia in the Japanese market across automotive OEMs and the wider parking and connected car industries to bring Parkopedia’s expertise to the Japanese market. Tomohiko has built strong relationships with automakers and the leading parking operators with the ambition to provide a seamless digital parking experience for all Japanese drivers.
Tomohiko previously worked for the Japanese mapping company Increment P, where he provided map data to the automotive industry, location-based business clients, and ride-sharing services. He has also held various roles in the IT industry, including work experience in Silicon Valley prior to joining Parkopedia.
