Mr. Sanshiro Fukao was born in 1981. He studied abroad at UWC in the UK from Azabu High School as a Keidanren scholarship student and obtained the International Baccalaureate. He graduated from the London School of Economics (LSE) with a degree in Geography and Environmental Studies in 2003. After working as an analyst at hedge funds and domestic and international financial institutions, Mr. Fukao has held his current position since 2019. He also serves as the only Asian board member of "MOBI," the world's largest international blockchain standardization organization in the automotive industry. His recent book is titled *Mobility Zero: The Automotive Business in the Decarbonization Era* (Nikkei BP).

Here is the translation: Graduated from the Combustion Engineering Laboratory at Kyoto University in 1982. Joined Toyota Motor Corporation the same year and engaged in research and development of engine functional components, cooling systems, and combustion at the Higashi-Fuji Technical Center.

From 1999, worked at the headquarters on the development of gasoline direct-injection engines, including the gasoline stratified lean-burn engine and the V6 gasoline direct-injection engine installed in the Crown. Later, served as the development leader for the 3.5L V6 gasoline direct-injection engine used in the GS350 and GS450h.

In 2006, became General Manager of the Hybrid Vehicle (HV) Advanced Development Department.
In 2008, became General Manager of the HV System Development Division.
In 2012, was appointed Executive Director (equivalent to Executive Officer) and head of HV technology.
The same year, became an external director at Primearth EV Energy (PEVE).
From that point until the end of 2018, was engaged in the development of electric powertrain systems and units, handling not only all of Toyota’s hybrid vehicles, such as the Prius and Aqua, but also all electric vehicles (BEVs).
