His work includes formulating technology and service strategies, driving business process transformation, conducting technology research, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, and implementing ALM systems. He is also the author and supervisor of The SDV Revolution: Roadmap to Next-Generation Vehicles 2040 (Nikkei BP).

As the Executive Chief Engineer of the SDV Business Development Department of Honda Motor Co., Ltd., he oversees technologies in the AD/ADAS field, evaluates cutting-edge elemental technologies, and works to improve Honda's technological presence as the head of technical relations. In 1990, he joined Honda R&D Co., Ltd., and since 2009 he has led the practical application of electric servo brake systems. In 2015,he won the 65th Japan Society of Automotive Engineers Technology Development Award for its development of an electric servo brake system. Since 2013, He has been engaged in research and development of automated driving, and in November 2020, he obtained type approval for the world's first Level 3 automated driving system. Since December 2020, he has served as the chairman of the Automated Driving Safety Design Methods Working Group of the Japan Society of Automobile Engineers. Since April 2021, he has also served as the chairman of the Automated Driving Sub-committee of the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association. In 2023, as a project leader, he contributed to the publication of ISO TS 23792 Motorway Chauffeur System Part 1 (MCS-1) and received the 2024 Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry Industrial Standardization Project Award and the Director's Award from the Innovation and Environment Bureau.

In 2013, he joined Freescale Semiconductor Japan (now NXP Japan since 2015), where he served as an FAE for automotive processor products. Since 2023, he has been serving as Director of Business Development for automotive E/E architecture.

He joined a mainframe manufacturer in 1986, where he was mainly responsible for OS development for midsize general-purpose machines. He then worked in the research and development of software for chemical equipment and the defence industry, and in 1999 he joined Microsoft (currently Microsoft Japan) as an application development consultant. He organized an evangelist organization to promote .NET and SOA, and worked as a pre-sales representative proposing cloud services to the automotive industry. After working at Pioneer in 2023, he has been working as CTO at Astemo Cypremos since 2025.

Shinichiro Yamauchi has extensive experience in leading the development and deployment of IoT platforms across the automotive, consumer electronics, and medical industries. At Nissan Motor Corporation, he played a key role in the Program Director Office, where he was responsible for strategic investment proposals in advanced features and service platforms, with a focus on connected cars.Since April 2025, he has been serving as the General Manager and Board Director of Nissan Mobility Service Co., Ltd., based in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. In this role, he leads the promotion and deployment of innovative mobility services tailored to the Chinese market.
