Mr. Kazuo Shimizu joined the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) in 2005. He has been in charge of promoting high quality infrastructure export strategy, negotiating World Trade Organization (WTO) rules, environmental energy policy toward carbon neutrality, and promoting medical digital transformation.

Mr. Izumi Kawanishi joined Sony in 1986. Since 1995, he has been involved in product development at Sony Computer Entertainment, working on products such as the PSP (PlayStation Portable) and PS3. In 2010, he took on the role of General Manager of the FeliCa Business Division in the Professional Solutions Business Group at Sony. In 2014, he was appointed as Senior Vice President (SVP) and Executive Officer. In 2015, he led the Product Business Group as Executive Vice President and Director of Sony Mobile Communications, overseeing overall product development. From 2017, he was responsible for AI robotics business, serving as the development lead for aibo and overseeing Sony's mobility initiative, VISION-S. In June 2021, he was appointed Senior Executive Officer of Sony Group, responsible for AI robotics business. In September 2022, he became the President and COO of Sony Honda Mobility Inc., aiming to evolve mobility into an interactive experience that redefines the relationship between people and mobility, thereby enhancing "inspiring experiences."

Ms. Mari Kawabata graduated with a specialization in Mechanical and Electronic Systems Engineering from Akashi National College of Technology and a specialization in Technology Risk Management from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology. She joined Stanley Electric Co., Ltd. in 2011, where she was engaged in the advanced development of optical components for automotive lamps. In 2016, she joined OPTIS Japan Co., Ltd., focusing primarily on optical simulation support for the automotive industry. When OPTIS was integrated into Ansys in 2019, she transitioned to managing the AVxcelerate product, a simulation tool for ADAS/AD, and began supporting camera and radar simulations. She is currently serving as the manager responsible for engineers in Japan, South Korea, and China.

In 2023, he was appointed as the Director of Business Development for automotive E/E architecture, a position he currently holds.

He has consistently been engaged in research and development related to map databases, on-site survey systems, image recognition, and AI. He has filed 40 patents related to map databases, image processing, and AI.
Since 2022, he has served as the manager of the R&D group, promoting the creation of new value aimed at improving the efficiency of map maintenance and addressing social issues.

In 1988, joined Denso (formerly Nippondenso). Engaged in research on elemental technologies for semiconductor manufacturing at the Basic Research Institute. Transferred to the Corporate Planning Department of the Electronic Equipment Business Group in 2000, where involved in creating future technology roadmaps and product planning in the ITS and safety domains. In 2003, launched a project on "Driver Monitoring," which had been proposed earlier, and took charge of its development in the advanced development department. After being seconded to Toyota Motor Corporation for a year starting in 2007, has been seconded to Woven by Toyota since 2020, continuously working on driver monitoring development. Currently, mainly involved in regulatory and assessment-related liaison work. Completed the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s program for fostering human resources in emerging fields through the construction of human environmental medical engineering through medical-dental-engineering collaboration (Tokyo Medical and Dental University).

Yu Yamaguchi

While conducting research at Japan's National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology and the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology, he began developing game AI using deep learning. He served as the lead developer for Japan's Go AI project, where he achieved distributed reinforcement learning with up to 1,100 GPUs, securing second place in an international Go AI competition and winning a world championship in Shogi AI. After serving as an executive officer at HEROZ Inc., he joined Turing Inc. as a founding member in 2022. He currently manages the development of autonomous driving AI and oversees the broader development of generative AI, including large language models (LLMs). He has been in his current role since August 2024. He holds a graduate degree from the University of Tokyo, Graduate School of Science.
